Memperelai bongkah batuan bagi mendapatkan sampel setangan fosil moluska marin (kerangan) berusia 247-242 juta tahun (Epok Anisian, zaman Trias)... Bongkah batuan diperolehi di Taman Emas, Lipis. Sekarang dah jadi kawasan perumahan.

Antara hidupan purba berusia 525 juta tahun (zaman Kambria) ditemui di China. Keluarga antropod (Fuxianhuia protensa) yg merupakan leluhur kpd serangga yg ada pd hari ini.

The animal, classified as Fuxianhuia protensa, is one of the first arthropods, ancestor of the current shrimps, insects or spiders e. g., and lived in the Cambrian period.

The classification of Fuxianhuia is one of the most disputed fossils of the site, with some considering eoarthropod. Chengjiang Biota founder and co-worker erected a new family and a new superclass called Proschizoramia, which was characterized as a group at any early stage in the evolution of arthropods with biramosis (Hou et al., 1987). Another initial analysis described as a trunk chelatorate group (Will, et al., 1996). More recently, Ma et al. (2012) suggested that the head, brain and optic lobes had characteristics similar to a malacostráceo (shrimp), chilopod and insect and, therefore, that Fuxianhuia could precede its evolutionary division.

Discovered by Hou Xian-guang in 1984, Chengjiang Biota is about 10 million years older than the Middle Cambrian Burgess Shale. Like the Burgess Shale, non-mineralized soft tissue parts are often remarkably well preserved with high resolution as aluminosilicate films, sometimes with oxidized iron content. Several taphonomic processes leading to extensive soft tissue preservation have been proposed, including rapid death by asphyxiation followed by rapid burial in anoxic sediment not disturbed by turbidity.

The Chengjiang biota is dominated by the Arthropoda and Porifera phyla. There are seven lobopodians, more than any other Lagerstätte that some scientists raise to the level of the phylum, and seven members of the extinct edge Vetulicolia. Members or potential members of Phyla Priapulida, Nematomorpha, Hyolitha, Hemichordata, Echinodermata, Ctenophora, Chordata, Cnidaria, Chaetognatha and Brachiopoda are found. A large number of enigmatic animals of uncertainty have also been found, some of which may represent failed evolutionary experiments, or even new phyla that did not persist for long at the beginning of the Cambrian, or were replaced by more derivative forms.

Among the diverse fauna of Maotianshan Shales, the most important are the supposed primordial chordates, particularly Haikouella, potentially an ancestor or the first cranial chordate. Myllokunmingia and Haikouichthys are interpreted as primitive Craniata, and possibly very primitive agnathids, the progenitor of fish and all vertebrates.

Haiwan Terawal Bumi


1. Pada sekitar 541 juta tahun lampau, telah berlaku satu kemunculan mendadak pelbagai jenis hidupan laut atau dipanggil 'ledakkan Kambria'.
2. Hidupan sebelum itu adalah bersifat ringkas seperti algae, bakteria dan sebagainya.
3. Kesan hidupan kuno ini dapat dikesan melalui kesan fosil pd permukaan batuan dan buat pertama kalinya muncul dlm rekod fosil.

Fosil Haiwan Tertua Dan Terawal Di Bumi Berusia 558 Juta Tahun - Dickinsonia








Fosil haiwan tertua bumi berusia 558 juta tahun drpd zaman Kambria ditemui di White Sea, Rusia - Dickinsonia.
Telah wujud lebih awal (20 juta tahun) drpd ledakan kewujudan awal haiwan bumi yg membentuk siput, kerangan dan antropod (trilobit).

Fosil Trilobit Mendominasi Lautan Purba





1. Pada zaman Kambria iaitu 541-485 juta tahun lampau, lautan dihuni dan dikuasai oleh makhluk yg merayap pada lantai iaitu Trilobit.
2. Terdapat kira-kira 20,000 spesies trilobit yang pernah direkodkan.
3. Mula mengalami kepupusan sejak 500 juta tahun lalu dan hanya beberapa kumpulan yang masih berkelansungan sehingga pupus selama-lamanya pada 250 juta tahun lampau iaitu pada kepupusan massa kehidupan bumi bersama 90% hidupan purba bumi yg lain.
4. Fosil trilobit boleh ditemui di Langkawi dan Perlis dalam batuan sedimen yang berusia Kambria dan Devonian.

Fosil Trilobit terbesar ditemui di Australia




1. Trilobit adalah antara haiwan purba yg sangat berjaya dalam perkembangan evolusinya melangkaui beberapa zaman bumi dan mendominasi lantai lautan bumi dalam beberapa zaman bumi.
2. Mula wujud sejak 541 juta tahun (zaman Kambria) sebelum pupus buat selama-lamanya pada 252 jt iaitu pada kepupusan besar-besaran hidupan bumi dengan merekodkan sejumlah 20,000 spesies trilobit (selama berkelangsungan sehingga 500 juta tahun).
3. Mempunyai hubungan dengan haiwan spt belangkas, ketam dan sebagainya iaitu dlm kumpulan krustasian.
4. Fosil trilobit terbesar pernah ditemui ini dinamakan sebagai spesies Redlichia rex. Ia ditemui di Kangaroo Islands, Australia.
4. Di Malaysia, haiwan purba ini boleh ditemui di Langkawi dan Perlis terutama dalam batuan berusia Kambria hingga Karbon.

Fosil Trolobit Terbesar Pernah Ditemui


Besarnya fosil Trilobit daripada zaman Kambria (570 juta tahun)... menguasai dasar lautan ketika itu... di Malaysia hanya bole dijumpai di Perlis shj sebesar siling 5 sen.
